Changes In New Year Parade 2021
Now every year lakhs of people come to attend this event. Where defence, military,Indian army is honored while there is a huge parade that represents our rich culture and heritage. But this year ,the on going corona virus pandemic has affected the republic day celebrations.
Keeping Indian public safety under consideration and according to covid guidelines several changes are made in the republic day parade.
• No chief guest would be there this year. Though at first British PM Boris Jonhson was invited as a guest of honour, but due to new covid strain in UK there was change of plan.
• Also there will be a limit of people to attend the event. Which is around 25000, less as compared to usual.
• Even motor cycle stunts are eliminated from parade keeping public safety in mind. As this has always attracted crowd .
• The parade will start as usual at 9:43 am with the Presidential Guard escorting President Ram Nath Kovind from Rashtrapati Bhavan to the saluting dias. which will continue the 90 minutes customary after that. Before parad which usually starts from Vijay Chowk and wind its way down to the Red Fort that covered distance of 8.2 km is expected to terminate at the National Stadium. Where as this time it may only cover a short distance of about 3.3 km distance.
Thing that are excluded from the event.
Even though some thing are excluded from the event, new are been include too like...
• India has 11 Rafale Fighter Jets that will be the part of this year's republic day parade.
• Even the Indian Navy's tableau will be feature the INS Vikrant including the operation conducted by it in Indo-Pak war 1971.
• The first women fighter pilot to participate in parade will be Bhawane Kanth the Fighter Lieutenant.
• Ayodhya's RAM Mandir (Temple ) replica will be showcased this year.
• A military band contingent of Bangladesh armed force, the only 3rd in Indian history after France & United Arab Emirates (UAE ) to be participating in parade. Which will comprise 122 soldiers, As India & Bangladesh are making 50 years of the founding of the country.
