I could really feel the pain and the compulsion, this was first time when i felt how strong Amanda could be. where On one hand she was grieving her grandmothers death, on other she was hit by the weight of the responsibilities that suddenly were her's to bare.
A lot to the consternation of her family members who might much rather have Amanda's debilitated sister assume control over everything.
Amanda's duties as Lady of the Croswell bequest are to guarantee the apparitions and devils on the home stay in limits, yet when her Grandmother passed on the limits broke delivering every one of the spirits to wander the domain.
This book is more like a fight for crown, or kingdom where family is standing against each other in order to be the ruler.
One soul specifically is hellbent on retribution, the one soul Amanda's Grandmother cautioned her about before her demise. Amanda needs to fight the vindictive soul while battling the living to keep her place as Lady of the domain. Amanda's couple of partners lift up her as the living and the dead look for her destruction.
Well developed characters and great plot line. I personally loved the strong turn of mind Amanda had, its good to see brave women in stories as well in actual world.
Would definitely recommend this book is for all ages. And a special recommendation to women's. Have a look this book is great inspiration.
